CSL DualCom Limited, in addition to selling our
DualCom range, is also the official Vodafone Service Provider within the
security industry.
As a Service Provider, CSL is responsible for the billing of annual access
charges (airtime) on the Vodafone radio pad incorporated into Dualcom.
Radio pads are billed yearly each month. In most cases they are billed
through your Alarm Receiving Centre.
There are 3 different types of tariff
- Rented Paknet pads (VOC). These are owned by Vodafone and were the
forerunner to the radio pad that is now in DualCom. Unlike DualCom,
if airtime is cancelled pads have to be returned to Vodafone. Failure
to do so will result in a Lost-Pad fee being charged.
- Dualcom MKI and MKII radio pads (CSL). These were the radio pads in
DualComs supplied up and till September 2003. They were replaced by
the Dualcom Plus MK III pad.
- Dualcom Plus pads MK III (CSL). These pads have been sold since September
2003. They are billed in the same way but have a different price to
the earlier CSL MK I and MK II pads.
Basic information to assist installers and
ARCs
- If you transferring a DualCom from one ARC to another it is important
that a Reassignment Form (see link below) is filled in and sent to
both ARCs, gaining and losing. Once completed it can then be forwarded
on to CSL by your ARC. If the losing ARC, and or CSL, are not advised
there is a possibility of pads being made ‘call-barred’.
To prevent this happening please liaise with CSL to make sure the correct
procedure is followed.
- If transferring from one site to another but staying with the same
ARC, CSL does not need to be informed. Dualcom is not site specific
and can be used at different locations.
- If you are discontinuing your monitoring but intend to use the unit
on a future job, please advise the ARC accordingly. In most cases if
you disconnect the monitoring you will also have airtime disconnected.
Please be aware. Any doubts please ring the Service Provision help desk
at CSL for assistance.
- If you need to check any pads to see what status they are please
feel free to contact CSL at any time.
If you require a reassignment, reconnection/disconnection or cancellation please email the relevant form to billing@csldual.com
If you do not have the correct form please click here to make a request billing@csldual.com
